29, February 3rd and a ride to Castell de Castells

Again it was an early start to the day, it was still dark when I got up to take the dogs out but what a sunrise??

Off early to the meeting point where 4 of us were ready to go out for the day the ride started off ok but I somehow managed to lose the group as I was tail end Charlie and in a small town I got help up at a roundabout then a junction where I lost sight of the guys, I was then spoken to by two police officers on bikes and they were great but I had lost the guys for sure so the only thing I could do was to head for the destination point the quick way which I did and arrived just outside of the town 30 minutes before the other 3.

From that point we made our way through Castell de Castells to what I thought was a closed camp site and on further investigation when I got home I was correct, we stopped to eat our packed lunch as all cafes and bars are closed in Spain due to the Covid situation. and of course I made yet another  video.

Another great day out and a total of over 1000km in three ride outs really looking forward to the next one.

28. Jan 27th Another ride out in the mountains

It looks like the PD guys manage at least one ride-out a week depending on weather conditions usually on a Wednesday now we have restrictions in place that say no more then two people in a meeting out of the house and there was three of us this day so not sure how the law looks at riding on motorbikes as we are always far more then 6 feet apart. But anyway an early start as the meeting up point is 90 km from where I live and I have to be there by 10am, todays ride was around the mountains again and up to Noria Hidraulica which is the oldest still working wooden water wheel in Europe and again it was a great day out.

And again where would be without a half decent video of the day of course all these vids are short clips spliced together as 5 hours of riding on video could et very boring.

Another great day out and a little over 400km ridden.

27. January and the PD Riders Group

After not getting in many miles (KM) in 2020 I am hoping that I get a fair few more in this year Covid or no Covid. I started the year off by taking a photo of the mileage which stands at 11358 km or just over 7000 miles.

The first thing I am so glad I managed to do was to join the PD Riders Group which is a bunch of ex-pats who  prefer riding to posing and on the Thursday 21st I wen tout on my first ride with them around the mountains south west of Benidorm up to the highest point in the area called the Coll de Rates the views were incredible.

And now getting a bit better with the go-pro and the editing software I made yet another little video.

A great day out and it was a whole day of riding, when i got home I had to take the bike to the car wash to get rid of the road salt but I did manage a little of 300km for the day.

26. 2021 lets hope this year is better than the last.

So starting with December 2020 I had not been out on the bike much because my wife had been back in the UK working, so as soon as some good weather came around I went for a spin down t Benidorm on the 16th which because of the covid problem was just about empty but I did find a fish and chip shop and boy do I miss a decent battered cod.

I was also trying out my "new to me go-pro 7" so I made a little video as well

Got home and felt really good it was great to be back out on two wheels after nearly 6months.
