I haven't had much chance to go out on the bike over the last four weeks or so, firstly we had a monsoon here in Spain we got 24 inches of rain in 5 days over the Easter Holidays so many parts of the Costa Blanca were flooded and then Lorni had to return tot he UK for just over a week which meant I was kinda house bound with two dogs to look after. But last week the weather was definitely better Lorni was home so I took the bike out of the garage and made my way to Miramar beach to check it out for future visitors especially at the height of the holiday season as Gandia beach can be pretty busy or so I'm told, whereas Miramar can be a touch less crowded.
As you can probably see the beach is fantastic although the town is a little quiet with not much in the way of bars etc but any port in a storm as they say. Still not sure if I was supposed to park where I did or not, hard to tell form the signage oh well no harm done.
I have spent a few days in the garage fitting parts to the bike that I have had in the garage but have not had time to fit them, or just been too dam lazy anyway I have listed all the parts that I have put on the bike. I had already fitted the Screen, rear hugger, front fender extender, wind deflectors, and enlarged side stand foot. Nearly forgot I fitted and wired up the sat nav as well.
So since I have fitted that lot I have ordered and received a full set of lower and upper crash bars a set of axillary lights and a set of risers for the handlebars and crash bar protectors The problem I had was that the extra lights hang on the crash bars but! I couldn't fit the crash bars till I had run all the wiring in as the battery and most of the electrics on this bike are under the side panels which will be covered by the crash bars.
A bit of a headache to say the least.
We got there in the end and fitted the fork protectors
Looking good I reckon, that's the last of the add-ons that I will be putting on the bike as apart from a drinks holder I can't think of anything else I need. Roll on Monday and can't wait for 8 weeks time???
